Fake News<\/em> is a themed undergraduate English composition course on research writing. This course aims to help students develop an understanding and practice of empathetic information literacy<\/a><\/em>\u2014a method for sorting out truths and falsehoods while taking into account both intellect and affect, thoughts and feelings. This annotated syllabus presents assignment instructions, teaching notes, and unit calendars for a sequence of essays designed to give students practice with the moves of this method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
